Roleplay sample -
It was another lovely alternian night Feferi was visiting her menagerie of cuttlefish. She smiled and stepped into the water, as her friends surrounded her.
“Did ya miss me?” She smiled and held out the present she’d brought them in her hands. “)(—ER—E you guys go~! Broug)(t you some delicious S)(RIMP! —Eat up now. I don’t want anyone going )(ungry~ )(e)(e)(e!” She found her favorite soon after, a purple and pink cuttlefish she named “Ariela”. “O)(! S)(ello there! )(ow’s my seally little frond tonight?” Ariela swam happily around her. “)(e)(e)(e~ W)(AL—E am I glad to sea you’re eeling reely GR—EAT tonight!” Ariela rubbed against her face affectionately.
She looked up through the water at the sky. She knew the day was barely beginning and she knew she’d have to cut her time short tonight if she wanted to make it to the meeting. She gently pet another cuttlefish and sighed. “I )(ave to go for now, B—E)(AV—E everyone!” She swam to the surface and wrung out her skirt and hair, taking caution to make sure there were no stowaways or anything tangled in it. She began to make her way, swiftly, towards the meeting. “O)( Carp, t)(ey’re going to krill me! I’m late again!”
((Decided to make it more of an RP sample than intro after all o3o I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for considering me~))
Accepted!
To the far east lies a country steeped in greed by countless generations of class warfare - a foreign people who walk about in the evening and hide by daylight. The Queendom of Alternia. Violence, theft and cannibalism have become second nature to these shambling creatures - a high-tech and logical society based on a caste determined by birth. After thousands of years of widespread poverty, slavery and starvation, a small band of rebels has had enough and recruited a sizeable number of members to the end of upending the current matriarchy - a mission to find and destroy the most recent Condensce’s 40 sweep regime of terror.
The rebel forces, doubtlessly, emerge victorious. A begrudging new ruler is put into a position of leadership, a unanimous decision by his new people. The country is shakily pieced together and united - The Kingdom of Alternia. Many people rejoice in anticipation of the new systems which will allow them to live more easily and freely than before. The casualties of the rebel’s struggle, however, cannot be overlooked. Vital supply routes have been demolished, natural resources made inaccessible or tainted by skirmishes and fights. The new government must now face its toughest challenge yet - a population ransacked by disease, prejudice and distrust must be trained to help one another.
To the west, however, lies a much more peaceful country. Once controlled by a past Condensce, it has been free for a great number of years not due to any struggle, but because the monarch had tired of caring for a species she deemed inferior. This country is known as the Queendom of Earth, ruled hand in hand by Queen Jade Harley and her twin sister, Princess Jane Harley. Though Earth is a rather simple land, it excels in what Alternia does not - food is abundant, communities are tightly-knit and reliable, and education and the arts are emphasized as key building blocks for every citizen. The country’s economy is based in simple barter and loans, most of which are paid off easily. Studies in medication are abundant and easily-available to the populace, and class mobility is simple, most people simply finding themselves in the class that best allows them to do the jobs that most benefit the community. Mistrust is unlikely and the monarchs often move freely among the people, beloved by all and oblivious to the notion of assassination.
After a scouting party is sent out by the new Alternian king to search out the west and east for supplies, a party of officials find themselves seeking peace negotiations and the beginnings of an alliance of mutual coexistence - technology and advanced education in exchange for medication and food.
Only time will tell if these culturally dissonant monarchies will truly be able to unite - a flag of red and black and a flag of white and blue.

Hemocide Humans Masterpost
Jade Harley:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Queen of Earth (Queendom)
AGE: 18 years
BRIEFING: The eldest of the twin royals, she is the queen due to the minutes of age she holds over her sister, Jane. Though their mother died shortly after their birth and their father followed soon after, the kingdom was well looked-over by a trusted adviser until Jade came of age at 13. She doesn’t let the power go to her head, though, and shares leadership with her sister equally, much preferring to go out and about in the cities and towns to meet people and participate in rural activities. She is very fond of Becquerel, the dog that she adopted with her penpal and childhood friend, Jake, though she cannot see him often. She often holds sojourns for herself and some of her childhood friends within the palace grounds, usually outside. She may or may not have a little crush on a certain rhyming jerk.
Jane Harley:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Princess (Co-Ruler of Earth)
AGE: 18 years
BRIEFING: Younger than Jade by only a handful of minutes, she just missed the opportunity to be queen. She doesn’t mind much though and is very happy regardless, keeping busy with the kitchen staff and brightening people’s sour days with little pranks here and there. Despite her jovial attitude, between her sister and herself, she is the more responsible of the two and helps Jade decide on more important or serious matters. Has a bit of a soft spot for her closest friends, Jake, Roxy and Dirk, but is kind to everyone.
John Egbert:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Foreign Dignitary to the Kingdom of Alternia
AGE: 16 years
BRIEFING: A master of tricks and japery of all sorts, John Egbert grew with his single father in a modest home along the boundaries of the castle and, as such, became a great friend to the two princesses. He has a great love for pastries, though he can easily tire of them and grow ill. He has never been able to beat Jane in a cake-eating competition. John is something of a storm-chaser and loves cloud-watching and constellations. Jade chose John for the job of foreign dignitary due to how little he wanted to be - he just wanted to check out their cool new neighbors and is a little iffy on the whole “royal business” thing. He is practically an advisor to Karkat by the time he settles in, though. Lives with Rose until she manages to have her own house built at age 16 and becomes very close to her within the three years she spends there. Best friends with Dave, the two are practically inseparable when you get them in the same room.
Jake English:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Upper Middle Class (Hunter)
AGE: 17 years
BRIEFING: Grew up in the same “neighborhood” as John, dear friend of the princesses. He takes care of Becquerel for Jade since one of the royal cooks and a few maids are allergic to dog hair and he can’t be kept in the castle, but Jade is allowed to visit. He had dreams of becoming some sort of vampire hunter as a child, but has grown up a lot recently and hunts in the forests that border the western side of the castle instead. Since his grandmother died when he turned 14, he has been living alone with Bec in his house, which is just fine with him. Quite a fan of cinema - a completely revolutionary form of entertainment only recently brought over from Alternia. Has a major soft spot for Jane and his good buddy Dirk, though Roxy is no slouch. Almost completely oblivious to any and all romantic advances.
Rose Lalonde:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Middle Class (Cross-Cultural Educational Director)
AGE: 16 years
BRIEFING: Grew up with a single, aloof mother who remarried when Rose turned 12. The man she married already had a daughter - Roxy - and because of this Rose really had no intentions of getting to know her, turning down all of her sisterly advances by declaring them passive aggressive jabs at her love for dark magic and literature. Upon reaching the age of 13, she moved in with her friend, John, until she was able to work her way up to a position of high authority within the educational community. She frequently moves between Earth and Alternia, tending to the needs of the well established established academic community of the former as she nurtures the budding growth of the latter’s. Frequently finds herself giving advice to Jade on supporting the educational system and over-analyzing Dave’s motives for just about any action.
Roxy Lalonde:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Middle Class (Peace Coordinator)
AGE: 17 years
BRIEFING: Grew up with an alcoholic mother and father, but when her mother left her father gave up his drinking habits. Roxy, however, did not, and remains an avid drinker, buzzed nearly 24/7. After her dad remarried, she tried in earnest to befriend her new stepsister and believed that she was and has made headway due to being incredibly oblivious to Rose’s passive aggressive undertones. When Rose left, she decided to move in with the Strider brothers but was left alone again when they were assigned to Alternia, and so she looked for a job closer to her sister. She was given, basically, the job of sending random gifts to Alternia, although sometimes she sends confusing gifts in a drunken stupor, such as a shipment entirely consisting of green left-footed shoes. Best friends with Jane, though sometimes comes on a little bit strong and gets “grounded”.
Dave Strider:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Middle Class (Cultural Ambassador to Alternia)
AGE: 16 years
BRIEFING: Raised from a young age with his brother by a young hiking and hunting couple by the edge of the forest, and thus adopted the name Strider. Very close to Dirk, though they don’t speak much, and a very close friend to John Egbert. Denies any and all possible feelings of the romantic variety for the queen, or anyone else for that matter. Trained his speed by hunting squirrels and other small critters as a kid. Chosen to be an ambassador with his brother because he shows a genuine interest in the foreign arts of cinema and color photography. Sometimes draws really shitty illustrations to go with his equally shitty stories as a kind of ironic joke that he really only shares with his brother. Constantly analyzed by Rose Lalonde, often makes fun of her for her dedication to her field.
Dirk Strider:
RACE: Human
ROLE: Middle Class (Cultural Ambassador to Alternia)
AGE: 17 years
BRIEFING: Raised with Dave in a cabin by the woods, takes older brother business very seriously. Has a great interest in music and poetry, but doesn’t have many ways to express it until he has the chance to become an ambassador. Something of an avid tinkerer, enjoys building complex, manually-operated machinery and has been known to create prosthetic limbs and other such things for the partially disabled. Childhood friend of Jake English, he may or may not deny feelings of the romantic variety toward him depending on who he is talking to. As a child, sometimes he would find stories that Dave would write and make little string puppets for them, putting on shows for his younger brother. Most of that passed as they got older, though he still holds onto some of the little things. Close emotional adviser to Jane and Roxy, but mostly Roxy because that girl has some “srs problms”.
